Vitamin A (360 mcg)
Even in small doses, vitamin A (also known as retinoic acid or retinol) is a nutrient essential for your health, supporting the immune system, cell growth, fertility, and fetal development.
However, perhaps one of the best-known functions of vitamin A is its role in vision and eye health. Sufficient dietary intake of vitamin A benefits vision and protects against some eye diseases, such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
According to clinical data, higher blood levels of beta-cryptoxanthin, alpha-carotene, and beta-carotene may reduce your risk of age-related macular degeneration by up to 25%.
